Think meditation is hard? Do me a favor: take a slow, deep breath in and now breathe out. Congratulations! You just meditated. Hi, I’m Krystal Jakosky and this is Breathe In, Breathe Out: a Weekly Mindfulness and Meditation Podcast for anyone ready to own their own shit…and find a little peace while doing it.
Welcome back to Breathe In, Breathe Out. I'm Krystal Jakosky. Last week we talked about shifting gears and moving from one state of being to the next state, slowing down, speeding up whatever needs to happen. So this week we thought we would do a meditation to work with that. As with all of the meditations, start with just a really good deep breath in and out. Take another one all the way into the belly, breathing deep.
And then let it out.
Take a few more complete, full, deep breaths in and out. As you allow your body to relax and let go, keep breathing deep and sink into the surface. That's supporting you and relaxing deeper. As you go muscles release. Another breath and stress just melts off. Another deep breath while you feel your belly expand. And then it releases and contracts. Delicious moment to relax and let go. Your next deep breath, your mind clears. There's lots of static and lots of voices. These are all of the things that you have going right now. Some of them are quieter than others And they fade away Until you're able to relax and focus in on the one that's the loudest. This project idea, opportunity, challenge, responsibility. What is it that this station is broadcasting so loudly? What is that weight that's there? Look at it, see it. Feel it, hear it. As you take another deep breath In this space. In this moment I do what I can to help turn the volume down. What do you need? What does it mean? What action can you take? This is a space for inspiration on how you can change and improve
How can you shift To something more relaxed and easy? Perhaps there's a simple step. Perhaps there are multiple steps.
You gain inspiration and understanding
And it goes from sharp and jagged to smooth and easy. We shift gears, change the station In this space of inspiration and insight. Feel free to ask if there's anything else that you need to know, anything else that you need to do for another station, another gear.
Take another deep breath. Feel gratitude in your heart for the knowledge and information you received, for the assistance you've been given from the helping guiding spirits that are around you.
And we're going to take another deep breath and begin our journey back.
Nice, deep inhale. You feel the surface supporting you as you exhale, You inhale again and feel your ribs expand. You might move your back and your body a little bit as you exhale And on your next breath, maybe you wiggle your fingers and toes. As you become even more present, aware, and alert in this space at this time. And on your next deep breath, you roll your head and open your eyes and you're present awake, alert, ready to continue your day. You remember the insight and knowledge that you received. You have the ability to shift gears. You have the knowledge, to take it and run with it. I look forward to having you here next time again on Breathe In, Breathe Out.
